Nothing is done without effort describes the Irish people,their quest for freedom, their ability to handle life in the hardest of times. They have survived famine, a revolution, the Celtic tiger where the economy was booming and like the rest of the world now faces hard times and uncertainty. Through all though the hospitality, the kindness and the humour never fails. Tis an honour to call Ireland my motherland and my homeland. Tis also an honour that as I struggle with hard times there is a history in my people that tells me I can survive.
