Tad's Hat

I originally made this hat as a gift for my brother, who lives in a part of New York state that’s mostly known for having absurd amounts of snow dumped on it. He wears it all the time because it’s warm and cozy. It’s also a very quick make! If you’ve never worked with short rows before, don’t be afraid — this is a super-easy place to start.
The size shown is roughly 12” deep and will fit heads up to 24” around. To make a more “shallow” hat, decrease the stitch count for all rows (e.g., take 2 stitches off the total for each row). To make the diameter of the hat smaller, work fewer pattern repeats of Rows 2-9 than specified (to go even bigger, add a repeat).
