Tafoni is a type of rock that has intricate holes and lacy patterns worn into it. One of the places you can see sandstone tafoni is at Bean Hollow State Beach in Northern California.

The Tafoni Shawl, worked as a wedge in light fingering weight yarn, incorporates an Aran lace and geometric side edging, with a lacy textured body. The versatile shape can be worn a variety of ways!
