Taiga is a wonderful hat pattern worked from the bottom up featuring a simple alternating stranded colorwork pattern, twisted rib brim, and a jaunty pompom at the crown. Suitable for those beginning stranded colorwork, it can be worked using one 50g skein for the main color and scraps of finger or sock weight yarn for the contrasting colors.

Materials
Apx. 55-100 grams of fingering or sock weight yarn: 35-50 grams in MC, and 5-10 grams in each of four contrasting colors.
