The Take Care Fingerless Mitts feature a Staghorn cable detail with 1/1 twisted cables extending into the ribbing. These mitts are the perfect little accessory to use up leftovers or make a quick, cozy gift for yourself or a loved one! Pattern directions are written separately for each size and include both charted and written instructions.

Sizes:
Child/XS (S/M, M/L)

These sizes correspond to the following hand circumferences, measured around the palm of the hand (not including the thumb):
Child/XS: 5-6.5”/13-16.5cm
S/M: 6.5-8”/16.5-20cm
L/XL: 8-9.5”/20-24cm

If you’re between sizes, you could choose to knit the smaller size on a larger needle (US3 / 3.25mm), or the larger size on a smaller needle (US2 / 2.75mm) optionally using fingering weight yarn. Both options worked well for testers!

Finished Measurements:
5 (6.5, 8)” / 13 (16.5, 20) cm hand circumference, unstretched and gently blocked
Recommended ease is ~0.5-1.5”/1.25-3.75cm negative ease measured around the palm of the hand

Needles:
US 2.5 / 3mm needles for your preferred method for knitting small circumferences in the round.

Yarn:
Approx. 100 (150, 200) yds / 91 (137, 183) m sport weight yarn
