This bag is begun by working the main body in rows, then side shaping and handles. The pattern features option for using 8ply cotton/4mm hook as well. Exact gauge is not important. I have used 1x 200g ball of Bendigo Woollen Mills 10ply Cotton which is not as tight a twist as some other brands, so you may need more meterage/yardage with a different cotton brand. If you wish to line the bag, I suggest you do so before commencing the side shaping and handles. This is a quick and easy project - great for gifts!
