Here is another simple design that lets the yarn to tell the story!
This was designed with Noro Miyabi colourways in mind but you could easily make a dent in your stash and play with your favourite colours to get fun stripes or a busy variegated yarn for the body and a solid color for the lace border.
These colours are taking me back to Tuscany!

It is a crescent shawl with a very easy top down construction so the size can be easily changed and you can relax until you get to the lace border.
Instructions are given for a double knit or worsted yarn (weight 4) but I included some notes for lighter weights.

Gauge is not extremely essential but just make sure you achieve a nice, drapey fabric. But if different, size and yarn used may be different. I am a very loose knitter so if you are on a very firm style, you might want to use a bigger size needle.

Yarn usage suggestions: dk - 250m/274 yds variegated or self striping yarn for the body, 300m/ 338yds solid colour yarn for the edge.
I used a whole hank of Noro for the body but if you ran out few rows before the body finishes you could easily add the solid colour before the lace edge,

If you decide for lighter weight yarn (fingering or sport): 300-400m/ 328-437yds of variegated or self striping yarn for the body and 260-300m /284-328yds) for the lace edge.

The final dimensions (after blocking) - 180 cm wingspan and approx 55cm - from neck to bottom at the widest part.

Pattern includes written instructions as well a chart for the lace edge.

The body of the shawl allows you to knit mindless, with regular increases! Instructions are given to change the size if desired, just make sure you have extra yarn if you choose to do so!

Have fun and let me know where your shawl takes you!
