I only learned about the existence of Caron Anniversary Cakes in August 2024. I was amazed at how big they were!
I wanted to create a pattern that used this large cake, however, being in Sweden, I didn’t have access to Caron brand. So I had to design the prototype with Hobbii Amigo Chunky. However, in November 2024, I visited my family in Canada, and finally got to use the Anniversary cake!
While Amigo Chunky is technically a good match, according to Yarn Sub, it has much more drape than the Anniversary Cake, so I had to adjust the pattern to suit it more.
You can still use Amigo Chunky; the only difference is that it might look a bit longer and wider -Which isn’t a bad thing either eslightly_smiling_face](null)

With one Anniversary cake, you can make up to a 2XL. If you want a solid ribbing, I recommend Amigo Chunky to pair with it.

The sweater has a slight batwing style, which means that there will be some bulk under the arms.
It is meant to be roomy and cosy, perfect for a fall day (minus a coat), or a good chunky sweater to wear under a large winter coat on very cold days.

The sweater had 2 length types (regular & short), and 3 arm types, so you can customise it any way you like!

While the pattern is fairly simple, it can get confusing for some people, so there are a lot of pictures showing each step of the construction.

Hope you enjoy this pattern!
