Taking the Waters evokes the stately grace of the town of Bath, England, filled with golden limestone architecture and ancient hot springs. This asymmetrical shawl begins with columns of lace in the main color. Then, waving lines of Old Shale frame a rippling pool of crisscrossing stitches, perfect for showcasing a gradient set.

All instructions are both written and charted.

Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a different yarn weight or needle size will affect the size of the finished shawl.

24 sts and 28 rows per 4” / 10 cm in Lace Rib after blocking
24 sts x 26 rows per 4” /10 cm in Crisscross stitch after blocking
