Takio Tiger & baby Lumi
Takio Tiger & baby Lumi – Amigurumi tiger crochet pattern - English PATTERN only
The pattern is written in English and using US crochet terms.
The pattern is straight forward and easy to follow. There is lots of pictures in this pattern – lots of step by step images, especially on the special parts.
You need to know the basic crochet skill for amigurumi, especially how to work in rounds or spiral. Some examples of stitches; slip stitch, single crochet, increases and decreases.
You will find good instructions how to make the legs moveable with only yarn (if you don’t want to use security joints).
Materials required:
– Yarn; Any yarn works. I used a cotton and acrylic blend DK weight yarn; Scheepjes Softfun. I used 1,5 skeins for both tigers. For the stripes I used a black yarn, less than a half skein. For muzzle and sole of feet and hands I used leftover yarn (creme). If you using bigger hook, I would recommend to have at least 2 skeins or more of each color for the main color)
– The fluffy yarn is a 100% polyester yarn. This yarn is from a local store with unknown brand. But any fluffy white yarn will work.
– Crochet hook 2.5 mm (3,5 mm for the fluffy yarn.)
– Fibrefill / toy stuffing
– Security eyes, 10 mm for Takio, 7 mm for baby Lumi
– Optional: 4 security joints (only for Takio Tiger)
– Stitch markers, scissor and embroidery needle
Colors:
– Mustard (dark yellow)
– Black
– Creme (white)
Size:
Takio Tiger: 23 cm (approx. 9 inch) in height when standing. 18 cm (7 inch) when sitting.
Baby Lumi: 11 cm (4,3 inch) when sitting.
(Note! When using 2.5 mm crochet hook and the yarn Scheepjes Soft fun.)
