This is a project for you to use yarn scraps, so the material is just a suggestion. I use 2 different yarn weights intentionally to make the hip part larger. You can use your jeans as a template to make one on your size.

Gauge: 3 motifs x 3 tiers = 4”/10 cm over Pattern using fingering yarn and hook 3 mm.
