Worsted #4 weight yarn
Sewing needle

This comes in sizes 6-12 months 16-19” head (Toddler 1-3 years 18-20” head, Child 3-10 years 19-21” head, Avg. Adult 21-22” head). Follow the coordinated color in the pattern for whatever size you choose to make.

Finished messy bun dimensions are 8 (9, 10, 10.5)“ wide by 6.5 (7, 7.5, 8)” tall when flattened and lightly stretched.

Finished beanie dimensions are 8 (9, 10, 10.5)“ wide by 7 (7.5, 8, 8.5)” tall when flattened and lightly stretched.

You need to be able to find the 3rd loop of a stitch to work into.
Beginning chain of each row does Not count as a stitch in the row count.
This pattern is written in US terms.

Gauge:
8 sc blo x 6 rows = 2x2” with 6mm hook

Abbreviations & Terms - US Terminology:
Ch - chain
Sc - single crochet
Hdc - half double crochet
Dc - double crochet
Dec - decrease
Blo - back loop only
Sp - space
St - stitch
( , ) - repeat the stitches inside these as many times as directed
- stitch count and added notes
Join - sl st where directed
FO - finish off
