Want to try something new? Roositud is the exciting colorwork technique! The other name for it is the Estonian Inlay and it is the traditional way to embellish the mittens and socks. It looks like an embroidery, but it is not! You are weaving the contrast color yarn in your knitting as you go while working all the time with your main color yarn. Intriguing, isn’t it?
While working on these pretty mitts, you can also practice the corrugated rib and baltic braid.

The pattern includes the Estonian Inlay Tutorial.
