I live where it gets very cold during the winter and this is a great hat to survive the freezing weather. It’s super cozy and the double layer protects against wind.
The cabled hat is worked first and the stitches for the lining are then picked up from the CO-row of cabled hat. The lining is then worked in the opposite direction.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Sizes: Small (Medium, Large)
To fit head 20 (22, 24)” / 51 (56, 61) cm.
This is a large hat due to the lining so I recommend choosing the closest ”to fit” size. The hat is approx. 2” / 5 cm longer than a regular fitting beanie.

YARN
approximately 350 (400, 450) yds / 320 (365, 410) m of DK-weight yarn.

Shown in Madelinetosh Tosh DK; 225 yds / 206 m per one skein; 100 % superwash merino wool: Tern for the outer hat and the pompom, Silver Fox and Candlewick for the inner hat.

Size 6 US / 4 mm circular needle for brims and lining, 16” / 40 cm long
Size 7 US / 4.5 mm circular needle for the body of the cabled hat:

1 repeat of 12-st Cable pattern using larger needles is a little less than

Die Winter in meiner Heimat sind eisig kalt und diese Mütze ist perfekt, um das frostige Wetter zu überstehen. Sie ist kuschelig weich und durch das zusätzlich eingearbeitete Innenfutter angenehm winddicht.?Zuerst wird die Außenseite mit Zopfmuster gestrickt. Später werden Maschen aus dem Anschlag aufgenommen, um das Innenfutter in entgegengesetzter Richtung zu arbeiten.

GRÖSSEN: S (M, L)
Kopfumfang: 51 (56, 61) cm.
Durch das Innenfutter wird die Mütze recht groß. Daher sollte die Größe so gewählt werden, dass sie eher eng anliegt. Die Mütze ist ca. 5 cm länger als eine gutsitzende Beanie.
