Tama is a Boy - a unisex raglan sweater with clean sharp lines, and a focal buttonband running along the raglan increase.

The pattern is top-down, seamless in construction and offers a wonderful blank canvas should one decide to embellish.

Tama is a Boy is the free version of the Tama sweater.
This free version is written for 10ply/Light Worsted weight yarn, to fit a child with a chest circumference of 57.5cm (approx 4 years of age). The finished chest circumference of the garment is 62.5cm.

PS - wondering how to say the name of this pattern, or exactly what it means? The designer comes from New Zealand where the second national language is Maori.
Tama is a Maori word meaning ‘boy’ or ‘son’, pronounced ‘taah-maah’.

Tama is the comprehensive version of the free Tama is a Boy pattern. It is written for 4 yarn weights ( 8ply/dk weight, 10ply/light worsted weight, 10ply/heavy worsted or aran weight, 12ply/bulky weight), and to fit from 12 months (47.5cm chest) to 6 years (62.5cm).
