Notes From the Designer:
•Tamsyn is a progression shawl that is completely customizable depending on your skill level and willingness to be challenged. It begins with alternating rows of Garter and Stockinette Stitch using basic knit and purl stitches, then transitions to a more intermediate pattern with yarn overs and lace, and ends with a more complicated design using twisted stitches and mock cables. You can choose to make the entire shawl using any of the three sections if you wish, or start with one, and progress to the next level that challenges your abilities. Tap into your creativity and make it as simple or complicated as you’d like.
•The pattern is written in a way that is easily customizable for those who wish to solely work within their comfort level and for those who wish to challenge themselves further.
•Color changes are made at the transition to each skill level.
•Learning new skills is always a pleasurable challenge for me. Creating this design was a very enjoyable experience. I really liked starting simple with basic stitches and getting more creative as the shawl design progressed. This design is akin to life which starts simple enough and gets more challenging as you grow. When you look back and see where you came from versus where you are now, you get a sense of accomplishment. That is the feeling that I was going for with this shawl.
