Tangiers Scarves are designed to help you enjoy beautiful, worsted weight yarns, explore techniques and shaping, but without committing to a large project.

The 2-Color Tangiers scarf version has two undulating bands of a second color that follow the contour of the scarf. The undulating bands are the same color but still follow the shape of the Single-Color Tangiers scarf. Add a pop of color at the ends and in the embellishments. The techniques used in the Tangiers scarves cause a slight difference between the designs.

TANGIERS SCARF – WHAT’S IN THERE

The written instructions for doing the crossed stitch decreases and increases are written to be done without using a cable needle, but you can use a cable needle if you like. Simply keep the the 2 Stockinette stitches toward the front and move them in the direction stated.

These two versions of Tangiers scarf also provide an opportunity to see how two yarns that are virtually the same —except for fiber content— behave slightly differently. A simply elegant design let the yarns tell their stories.

YARN USED IN TANGIERS SCARVES

2-color Tangiers is made in It Could Be Worsted from Anzula Luxury Fibers and uses one skein of Color 1 (Gumball) and 25g of Color 2 (Aqua).

Single-color Tangiers is made in For Better or Worsted from Anzula Luxury Fibers and uses one skein of Color 1 (Mulberry) and 2.5g of Color 2 (Key Lime). Additional Color 2 is needed to make the Tassels.
