Tanit is a goddess worshiped by the Phoenicians, whose presence is documented on the island of Sardinia, which in ancient times was subject to Punic-Phoenician invasions. I chose this name inspired by my holidays on the island. Tanit is an isosceles triangle shawl, worked top-down, of modest size, made with a single skein. It starts with a garter stitch tab.
Tanit is created with a straightforward pattern of increases and decreases, has a central braid, and is finished with delicate and simple lace edging.
This model includes two patterns for making the shawl with different types of yarn.
