Tank the Tiny Sea Turtle
by Trish Guinn
This adorable little sea turtle was left stranded on the beach, but he would love to make his way into your home!
Stuff you need:
- Any hook will do, but I used an F (3.75mm) hook to make a turtle roughly 9 x 7.5 inches
- Worsted weight yarn (much less than a full skein; scrap yarn should do) in 2-6 colors of your choice
- Eyes (buttons, safety eyes, embroidery, what-have-you); I used 16mm black buttons
- Stuffing (like Polyfil)
- Yarn needle
Things you need to know:
- How to make and crochet in a magic circle
- How to single, double, and half double crochet, chain, and slip stitch (American terms)
This pattern includes two PDFs: the first an eleven-page pattern with very detailed instructions and a few photographs, the second a two-page pattern written in shorthand crochet terms only so that you can print it off and take it on the go without wasting space!
