Tapestry crochet technique is usually used to combine two or more colors. For this pattern two distinct threads in width and quality are put together to create great texture.

This design was made with #18 nylon cord which you can find in some yarn stores. If you don’t, try searching haberdasheries, notions and craft supplies stores. These last three options is where you’ll find the 6mm cotton cord. The nylon cord supports enough weight and neither the bag nor the handles will ever stretch.

You can also crochet it with t-shirt yarn, cotton, wool or others.
