Spring is a long time coming this year. It’s April in Germany and there is still frost at night and everyone’s wearing hats, scarves and warm jackets. But here and there you can see little signs of spring: sunshine on a cloudy day, birdsong in the air and a crocus hiding shyly under a little tree. Maybe in a few days winter will finally be over… at least we hope so!

Until then a small shawlette like this one comes in handy.

Targetty is worked down and out from the center of the top edge. Shaping is done by working increases at the beginning and ending of each row and around the center stitch, and the textured areas are created using twisted stitches.

Skills needed are knit, purl, work through back loop, increase, slip stitches, cast on, bind off.
