Worsted or aran weight yarn
Shawl: 650 (1000, 1200) yards

Gauge
17 sts & 36 rows or rounds / 4” in garter stitch.
25 sts & 30 rows or rounds / 4” over cable pattern.
Both gauges measured after blocking.

Needles

Shawl: a single needle will do.
Blanket: you will need two or more needles by the end of the knit.
