The Tartan Tote is a versatile accessory in any wardrobe.

Yarn used in the photographs is Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice; a felted wool yarn also creates a beautiful fabric. The construction is crocheted in the round using the waistcoat stitch from the bottom up with a G (6/4.00 mm) sized hook.

This pattern includes a chart for the Tartan Plaid body of the tote, and written instructions. The materials and supplies needed are listed along with the stitch abbreviations used in this pattern. A brief explanation of the main stitch, the waistcoat stitch is also included.
