Tartanbone
My first pattern
I created this simple mini shawl to emphasize the beautiful Tartan colourway of the Plucky Knitter yarns. The herringbone stitch creates a thick, luxurious fabric that can be wrapped in many ways, from back of the neck coverage or full warmth by wrapping it up around your face on chilly winter days.
The scarf is knit flat with increases and decreases on the ends for shaping and to give the edges a clean look. It can also easily be made into a larger shawl by joining on another skein of yarn.
Needle: 4mm circular or straight needles (length required depends on how big you make your scarf, I used 16cm circulars).
Yarn: 1 skein of The Plucky Knitter yarn in Feet base on Tartan colourway.
The design is intended for speckled or variegated yarn; however the stitch shows beautifully on all yarns. Finished dimensions: 13 x 36 x 40”
