This lovely little handbag the holds just the essentials.
There is something about the size and shape of this bag that is completely compelling. You just want to pet it and keep it with you. Just the right size for wallet, lipstick, compact, hankie, keys and cell phone. It’s slightly crescent shape is somehow ergonomic…
Made in one piece, this seamless knit is quick to make and includes some interesting features like bobbles, moss stitch, integral shaping, applied i-cord and an i-cord strap.
Instructions for the knit portion of the bag are written out.
Full instructions for sewing the lining are included and it is easy to do by hand, no sewing machine required.
The featured yarn is 100% wool from Pandora’s Golden Fleece, Ewenique Homespun, a soft yet strong blend of 3 local sheep breeds, Abercairney Jacob, Bluefaced Leicester and Blackfaced sheep. Grown, dyed, and hand spun in Scotland.
Approximately 125 metres per 100g hank.
The bag shown was made in the colour way called Lavender Blue and requires the better part of one skein.
The lovely hand made ceramic button from Flat Rabbit Ceramics, also of Creiff, sets off the design perfectly.
