This is a pattern for a Tassel Tie Cardigan, originally published in Knit Today. It is a very simple garment in garter stitch with a tie neck. it would be fine for beginners. The body is knitted sideways.

Actual bust: 37 3/4 -47 1/4 ins, length: 23 1/4 -24 3/4 ins. You will need: 12(13:13:14:14) x 50g hanks of yarn, and a 3.75mm circular needle. The yarn has now been discontinued, but any yarn knitting to the tension can be used. A space dyed yarn is the most effective with this garment.
