A pattern inspired by midwifery because midwives measure bellies and babies all day long! They also help with so many postpartum needs including breastfeeding, one of the hardest tasks to accomplish with a newborn. This pattern is dedicated to all the midwives I know and have had the pleasure of knowing in my life.

Materials:
20y / 18m sport weight yarn
(2 colours, 10y / 9m per colour)

You can use any sport weight yarn, I used FINULL by Rauma Garn for it’s broad palette:
C1 + C2
4206 + 4087 = fair
4187 + 0420 = almond
4067 + 4065 = golden
4064 + 0422 = chestnut

9.5 mm wood craft bead
Cotton ball and or cotton cosmetics pad
Clear spot bandage (optional)
2” retractable tailors tape measure
