Have you ever watched your mother make something? When I was growing up, my mother made teddy bears. While hers were made of mohair, mine are made of yarn!
This Tater Tot Bear is approximately 5 inches / 13 centimetres tall, when made with a 3.5mm hook and DK (#3) yarn :) If you make it with another size of hook / weight of yarn, it will increase or decrease in size accordingly.
Both US and UK terms are available for this pattern.
Materials required:
DK yarn (#3) - less than 40g
A small amount of embroidery thread for the facial details
3.5mm crochet hook
Stuffing
Yarn / tapestry needle
Scissors
Stitch markers
Skills required:
Magic ring / circle
Crocheting in the round
US single crochet / UK double crochet
US double crochet / UK treble crochet
FLO and BLO
Slip stitch, chain stitch
Increasing and decreasing
Changing the colour of yarn used
Sewing (for the ears and cap!)
Level: Intermediate. (You should be able to crochet, at least!)
Language: English
