Tavallinen Sweater
is a simple slightly oversized, little cropped pullover with a beautiful drop-shoulder construction and long, wide and cozy sleeves. The sweater is soft and light and will be wonderful to wear all the year through, on a fresh summer evening or colder autumn days.
finished bust circumference
100 (105, 110, 115, 120, 130) cm | 39 (41, 43, 45, 47, 51) inches
positive ease
This sweater is designed to have a positive ease of approximately 20cm (8 inches), meaning the circumference is 20cm (8 inches) larger than your usual bust measurement. With a bust circumference of 80cm (31.5 inches) and additional 20cm (8 inches) positive ease, the correct bust circumference is then 100cm (39 inches) for this sweater. So before you begin to knit your sweater, measure your bust around to find the best fit.
length
Measured from the top of shoulder to the bottom of your knitting piece.
48 (50, 52, 56, 58, 60) cm | 19 (19.5, 20.5, 22, 23, 23.5) inches
gauge
22 sts x 34 rows for 10x10cm (4x4 inches) in stockinette stitch with needle size 4mm (US 6) after blocking. Please don‘t forget to knit a swatch before you start, which is washed and blocked before measured to see if the gauge is correct. Every yarn is different!
needle size
4mm (US 6) of 40cm, 60cm or 80cm (16, 24 or 32 inches) circular needles or required needle size to obtain gauge. I prefer to use the magic-loop-method on circular needles for the sleeves, instead of using some double pointed needles.
yarn
The sweater is knitted with Lana Grossa ECOPUNO (72% cotton, 17% merino, 11% alpaca, 50g, 215m | 235 yards). I used color 17 dark brown.
amount
250g (250g, 250g, 300g, 350g, 350g) | 5 (5, 5, 6, 7, 7) balls
