Tavish Highland Cow
Tavish was created to be a friend to my William Goat. I though a highland cow was the perfect best friend for him.
Tavish is written in US terms and is made entirely of single crochet stitches making him very beginner friendly. I made him out of less than 100g of rust and 30g of beige #4 medium worsted weight acrylic yarn. I used a 3.0mm hook. Tavish also has 12mm black safety eyes. His mouth can be embroidered with 6 strand black embroidery floss or thin cotton yarn.
While this pattern is relatively compact at only 8 pages long, it contains everything you need to easily duplicate this goat. It is laid out to be printer friendly with all of the full color close-up photos kept at the end as a reference to go with the detailed written assembly instructions.
If the thought of crochet hair strands seems daunting, you can always substitute attaching sort lengths of yarn to the front loops instead of crocheting chains into them.
