Tavistock is a happy little tortoise; they make a super desk buddy or a handy pincushion. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the tortoise is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and beads backed with white felt circles for eyes.

SIZES
One size only - 8cm tall and 13cm long.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, kfb increase and k2tog decrease, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
