Description:
- This pattern is my most popular hat for babies and toddlers. I’ve named it the “Taylor Beanie” because it’s gender neutral, adding to its versatility. It’s very stretchy, so it fits infants for a longer amount of time. It’s also such a simple pattern that it’s easily adjustable for whatever you need. I have included the patterns for newborn to large adult size, but feel free to adjust it as you’d like! Add stripes, make it single layer or a folded brim!

In the first photo, Stephanie and Thea (age 2) are wearing the same size hat, the 6 month size. I love how stretchy and versatile it is! This same hat fits Eloise (4 months) in pictures 2 and 3.

Skills:
- Beginner: pattern assumes knitter is familiar with knit and purl stitches

Size:
- Will vary based on what size you make

Materials:

• Yardage is based off of size; this pattern comes with instructions for newborn to x-large adult sizes. Yardage noted under sizing tab in pattern (Between 75 and 200 yards, depending on which size you make.)
• Recommended: Caron Simply Soft or any other similar size 4 yarn
• US 7 / 4.5 mm circular needles, OR needles to obtain gauge. If your swatch is too small, bump up your needle size. If it’s too large, size down needles US 7 / 4.5 mm (or smaller) double point needles

Download:

• Once payment is received, you can save this pattern to your Ravelry library, and you will receive an email containing a download link button for the PDF pattern.
• Make sure you have a PDF reader installed to open the pattern.

• This beanie is knitted in the round, from the bottom up
• Pattern is written in standard American knitting instructions
