This pattern includes newborn to x-large adult sizes, but is my most popular hat for babies and toddlers. It is my go to knit for a baby shower gift, as well as market prep beanies. I’ve named it the “Taylor Beanie” because it’s a gender neutral name, matching the unisex style. This pattern is very stretchy, so it fits infants for a longer amount of time. It grows with them!

My first version of this design used a lightweight size 4 yarn, making it a very tedious knit, but the result was worth it! I decided to translate it into a bulkier version, which knits up so much faster. It’s a great yarn stash buster, perfect for market prep or a quick baby shower gift. I am absolutely in love with the result! The size 5 yarns have such a wide range, so this pattern is sort of a “pick your own adventure” route. I hope you love it as much as I do.

Yardage, and needle size will be based off of which yarn you decide to use, but most sizes will be able to be knitted up with one skein. Size and single layer or folded brim will also determine your yardage.
