This is a beginner friendly pattern. You will need to keep an accurate count of the number of stitches and decreases.

US Crochet terminology used:
ch, chain
st, stitch
sc, single crochet
hdc, half double crochet
dec, hdc decrease (hdc2tog)
slst, slip stitch
FO, Fasten off (cut yarn)
( ), repeat

Materials list:
• medium weight worsted yarn in white and red
• 5mm and 5.5mm crochet hook (confirm size with Gauge Swatch)
• tapestry needle
• black embroidery thread (for “87”)
• stitch marker
• fur pompom with elastic band or snap button to attach to beanie

4” x 4” gauge swatch of cuff = 16 sc stitches x 14 rows (7 ridges)

This beanie uses about 70 to 80g of yarn.
