Christmas Tree Tea Cosy Teacosy
Have a cup of Christmas Tea and let the Holiday begin.
Start your Christmas decorations with dressing up your teapot !
This PDF pattern (US terms) will guide you to crochet a Christmas Tree tea cosy as shown in pictures, with 2 different tree toppers to choose from. The cosy will be made using soft acrylic yarn (DK/8 ply) and crochet hook C (3,5 mm).
This pattern is also suitable for wool or cotton yarn, as long as it has the same weight / thickness. Stylecraft Special DK was used to create the tea cosy in the pictures. Finished size will be approx. 11” (28 cm) tall.
There will be an opening under the handle to insert your teapot easily, with a button closure.
The cover will be placed over the teapot after pouring in your favourite tea.
The pattern is suitable for any standard model teapot, 1.1 liter, circumference approx. 15.75” (40 cm), measured around the widest part of the pot, excl. the spout and handle.
This pattern is mostly worked in rows. The tree toppers are worked in continuous rounds.
