Tea Party Lace Scarf
Lacy scarf for all of your frabjous tea parties begins with a six-row lace edging in color 1. Stitches for the main scarf are picked up along the straight edge of the lace, then the main scarf is worked in colors 2, 3 and 4. Color 5 is then used to work the second lace border which is attached to the bound-off edge of the scarf.
The mini skein packs have a variety of colors available; the knitter can choose the order of colors according to what he/she desires. This one was worked in the “Cats in the Coffee” color group; I just happened to choose to work the colors in an order to create a gradient effect.
Gauge after blocking is about 4 stitches per inch in the main scarf pattern stitch.
Pattern can be worked all in one color with about 5 oz / 420 yards of sport weight yarn.
