The spirit behind this design is something cozy you want to throw on top of your pyjamas for weekend breakfasts. Of course it would be also great for going to school, the grocery store, a football game, walking your dog, lounging around your home, or whatever else you love - or need - to do. It’s also a nod to the current colour blocking trend, because we all want to look stylish in our hand-knits (even if we are wearing them with our pj’s), right?!
Since breakfast is always a little bit better when it’s a family affair, this pattern includes sizes ranging from children’s 3/4, to women’s and men’s XXL. It is intended to fit with 2 - 4 inches of positive ease.
Arrange the 3 colours as given in the pattern or add your own personal touch, perhaps depending on which worsted weight leftovers you have lingering in your stash. For my own sweater, I wanted colours A and B to be similar, and for colour C (in the middle of the body) to pop.
It is knit seamlessly from the top down. The neckline is shaped with short rows, to ensure a comfortable and flattering fit. From there the knitting is nothing but nice and relaxing; the colour changes and pockets keep it interesting.
