Teampall Bhreacháin Hat
For experienced knitters with good knotwork knitting & chart reading skills. Advanced techniques include grafting in pattern, seed-edge pick/up & picot point hem turn.
Featured in this book to represent Ireland, Teampall Bhreacháin refers to ‘the 7 churches’ (but there are really only 2 at the site, one of which the site is named for). A visit to the carved stone ruins at this site on Inish Mor inspired the knotwork designs for this hat. Do it in Dk, standard worsted or aran weight yarns for adult small, medium & large. Good chart reading skills are a must for this project. Matching gloves are also featured in this book.
The 1st edition book version has some chart errors,
