The scarf looks exactly the same on both sides.
Hat pattern is easily made different sizes by simply adding or subtracting multiples of 3 stitches.
Gauge is only for 1 X 1 ribbing on hat.
I used a little more than 2 1/2 balls of yarn for the scarf and almost 1 ball for the hat.
Equivalent yarns would be Mochi Plus or Red Heart Unforgettable.
