Collaboration with Laurelknits

Ted sweater is my take on a classic cable knit sweater, but adding some modern twist. The sweater got it’s name from the yarn color “Speckled Teddy” that I used in the sample. Because of the slight oversize fit and v-shaped body silhouette, to me this is a timeless piece.

Ted sweater is knitted top down starting by working the back yoke. Then both fronts are worked separately and joined together after neckline shaping. Front and back pieces are joined together after armhole shaping. The hem is v-shaped with decreases, but you can optionally make it more boxy. Sleeve stitches are picked from the armhole and short rows are worked. After that sleeves are worked in the round with decreases to shape them. Collar is worked last by picking up stitches from the neckline.

Yhteistyössä Laurelknitsin kanssa

Ted-paita on minun visioni klassisesta palmikkopaidasta modernilla tvistillä. Ted-paita sai nimensä langan väristä “Speckled Teddy”, jota käytin mallineuleessa. Koska malli on rennon väljä v-linjaisella helmalla, minulle tämä on ajaton neule.

Ted-paita on neulottu ylhäältä alas aloittaen takakaarrokkeesta. Tämän jälkeen molemmat etukappaleet neulotaan erikseen ja yhdistetään pääntien muotoilujen jälkeen. Etu- ja takakappaleet yhdistetään kädentien lisäysten jälkeen. Helma tehdään v-linjaiseksi kavennusten avulla, mutta voit vaihtoehtoisesti tehdä siitä suoran mallisen. Hihasilmukat poimitaan kädentieltä, ja hiha aloitetaan lyhennetyillä kerroksilla. Tämän jälkeen hihat neulotaan suljettuna neuleena kavennuksia tehden. Pääntien resori tehdään viimeiseksi poimimalla silmukat pääntieltä.
