Inspired by the sweet dachshund of a dear friend, Teddy the Snorkeling Sausage Dog loves nothing more than summer! It’s the perfect opportunity to put on his adorable life jacket (safety first!) and head out to the lake! With his snorkel on, he never knows what he might find out there, but one thing’s for sure- it’ll definitely be an adventure!

This 10-page crochet pattern contains all of the instructions and photos you will need in order to create your own dachshund, life jacket, and snorkeling mask. There is also an additional 5-page printer-friendly version of the pattern included. This pattern has been thoroughly tested and proofread to be easy to follow. You are welcome to sell finished objects made from this pattern.

Skill-level: Intermediate

The recommended yarn/hook combo will result in a project ~10.5in/27cm tall. However, feel free to use your preferred yarn/hook combo. Using a thicker yarn will result in a larger finished project. The pattern is written in English using US terminology. Basic crochet techniques and stitches (magic ring, single crochet, slip stitch, chain, increase, invisible decrease, double crochet, and back-loop stitches) are used in this pattern. There are also color changes at the ends of rounds. Instructions are provided for the use of surface crochet and the invisible finish/color change.

Yarn: Cotton sport (#2) weight yarn or yarn of your choice (~321yd/294m)
Hook: 2.75mm or the appropriate hook for your yarn
