Teddy Valentine in pants
★ SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE
★ MATERIALS AND TOOLS :
- Yarn:
You can use any yarn that is comfortable and/or suitable for you.
I used a mix of fluffy and smooth yarn.
We take one thread of Adelia Baby Toy (nylon, 50g ~ 255m) + two threads of Slonim yarn (50 wool/50 acrylic, bobbin yarn, in 2 threads it is 100g ~ 808m), color – grey, white. The gauge of such mixed yarn will be about 30-35sс in 4 inches.
We also need blue smooth yarn, I use Slonim (4 threads, 50 wool/50 acrylic, bobbin yarn, in 4 threads it is 100g ~ 404m).
To embroider the seams you will need black floss.
For the heart I use Adelia AURA (acrylic, 50g ~ 250m), red color.
- Hook №1.5 (1.5mm, for main yarn), hook №1 (1mm, for Adelia AURA yarn)
- The plastic safety joints or cotter pins and joint disks: I used the disks 12mm in diameter for the arms (4pcs), 20mm in diameter for the legs (4pcs), 15mm in diameter for the head (2pcs), cotter pins 2х20mm (5pcs), washers – 10pcs
- Fiberfill (to stuff)
- Glue eyes 6mm
- A piece of plastic or cardboard for the sole, as well as a few beads or stones to weight the legs
- For pants, you need fabric, a rectangle 23cm wide, 14cm high. 2 miniature 8mm buckles (you can take the usual so-called “regulators”, they are used on straps to adjust the length, a rectangle with a crossbar). And glue tape (bonding web). Additionally, for the heart you will need:
- 0.5mm thick wire, 1pc ~40cm long
- 2pcs foamiran (or isolon) to insert inside the heart. Heart size 3x3.5cm
- Strong thread for sculpting, needle, safety pins, scissors, glue (Moment Crystal), hot glue, thin stick (for the convenience of stuffing small parts).
★ SKILLS REQUIRED:
You must have basic crochet skills - this pattern is not the easiest so please ask me if you will have some questions or difficulties.
