Teddy with Sweater
This cuddly bear (complete with a sweater!) is perfect for your next charity knitting project or as a toy for the children in your life. The pattern uses some advanced techniques, but it’s still a fairly quick knit and a great way for using leftovers of colored yarn.
The pattern is heavily modified from http://jillmc.tripod.com/teddy.html. Changes include using the stockinette stitch throughout instead of garter, the addition of a knit-in sweater, and some snout and neck shaping. The Kitchener stitch is also used in place of binding off and seaming. The front half of the bear will be made first, followed by the back half—these halves will then be sewed together to form the bearskin.
