This pattern is for a crochet summerdress, hat and beachbag for a teenage fashion doll (like Barbie)

Level: confident beginners/ advanced

The dress fits on a Barbie doll with chest 16 cm, waist 10 cm and hips 13 cm
Any doll with these measurements will probably fit the dress.

I have used Catania solid cotton (125 m/50 g) and a 2 mm hook.
I crochet a bit relaxed, so please adjust yarn and hook to have the same gauge.
If you choose an acrylic yarn, the dress will likely have a bit more stretch.

Alternative yarns used by my testers are

• By claires
• red heart super saver worsted; but this will give a very loose fit and it will probably fit better on the larger fashion dolls (bratz like dolls)

The dress closes with ties in the back, so you can adjust the fit if your doll has a slightly smaller or wider chest area. (These differ per model, is my experience)

You will also receive the model for the sunhat with brim and the beachbag.

My gauge is 12 scx12 rows is 5 cm (2 inch)

I used USA terms in the English version, and measurements in cm.
Later, a Dutch version will become available

The pattern has been tested by a team of experienced crochet pattern testers. But if you find any error, please dm me so I can fix it/

You will need 2 colors of cotton/ substitute yarn and the total weight of the dress is 20-25 grams. If you also want to make the bag and hat, you would need 1 skein of both.

Of course you could use any other sportsweight yarn.
