Teensy Tiny Dragon
This tiny little dragon would appreciate if you pretended to be scared. He has been practicing his roar for a while. It sounds more like a little squeak, but he is very proud of it.
Knit completely flat and seamed, this little one is a great stash buster and can be made by an adventurous beginner knitter.
Materials
● US 1 (2.25mm) needles
● <25 yds (23 m) of sock weight yarn each for main color and coordinating color
● Tapestry needle
● Polyester stuffing
● Small amount of black yarn to embroider eyes
If you purchased the kit, all materials except for the knitting needles have been pre-measured and are included.
Gauge
● 8 st and 10 rows per inch in stockinette
● Gauge not incredibly important – you want to create a dense enough fabric so that stuffing does not poke through.
● Easily sized up using larger yarn & proportionally larger needles; suggest using worsted weight yarn with US 3 or 4 needles.
Sizing
● Approximately 4-5” length
Techniques
● Knitting flat
● Seaming pieces
● Knit increases (kfb)
● Knit decreases (ssk, k2tog)
● French knots (embroidery)
