Teeny Spring Bunny
The little hand-sized bunny plush is knitted flat in 6 easy pieces, with the body and head made up in one piece. The bib, jacket, and carrot pieces are optional details that add a bit of charm.
This is a beginner-friendly, quick project that takes approximately two and a half hours to complete. When selecting yarn for this project, I prefer heavier worsted-weight varieties, sewn up using lighter-weight thread: sport, sock, or fingering. This makes for neater, less bulky seams. The bunny made on US 6 needles and heavy worsted yarn measures 5.5” to top of head.
Basic knitting skills including increases and decreases are required. The finishing steps call for basic embroidery and sewing skills: you should know how to work a mattress stitch, chain/lazy daisy stitch, and straight stitch.
