Teeny Tiny Basket
This is an easy little pattern to make a tiny basket to carry a small gift. It is suitable for beginners who know basic crochet stitches, and stitches used are explained and described.
This is a full written pattern, with pictures to further explain any parts of the pattern which you may want to see extra information about.
And above all, this is an excellent stash buster for all those little balls of yarn which are too small to make most things :)
The pattern takes very little yarn. I would say that 8 yards of DK yarn would make a basket with yarn left over. but of course your use may vary according to yarn used and crochet style.
I used Double Knit yarn and a 4.5 mm hook to make my tiny baskets (they measure approximately 2.5 inches wide by 2.5 inches long - not counting handle, but your may vary), but any yarn and matching hook size will do. It will just give you a different-size basket :)
Supplies you will need to make this pattern:
Yarn in your chosen weight/style
Crochet hook to match yarn used
Darning or large-eye needle.
Yarn scissors.
And perhaps a gift to put inside the tiny basket :)
I have made many of these tiny baskets, so the pattern has been tested, but only by me. I hope I have provided enough help for you, but if you do have problems understanding the instructions, please let me know and I will try all I can to help.
