I’ve designed this pattern to have as little sewing as possible (only the ears and snout gets sewn on) the limbs and head are crocheted in with the body so I suggest you start with the small pieces like the limbs and tail.
I’ve used mirage 4ply yarn for this fox but you can use any yarn weight you prefer for bigger or smaller foxes. Just adjust your hook size according to the weight you choose. For example I used less than 25g of 4ply yarn for the fox in my pattern but then I made a bigger fox with dk yarn and a 3.5mm hook which used about 50g so keep that in mind. If you use thicker yarn your fox will be bigger and use more yarn than what I mentioned in the pattern.
I only used 1 small skein of mirage 4ply (got 2 foxes out of 25g) I embroidered with little bit of brown yarn I had left over from a different project (I believe in zero waste so I use up every cm I can)
You will also need a bit of poly fill for Stuffing your fox.
