The “TEGEL HAT” borrows its name from the Swedish word “tegel,” meaning “brick.” This accessory is a tribute to strong geometric patterns and rich textures, evoking the sturdiness and warmth of a Nordic home.

This hat is knitted flat with intarsia technique to create the color bloc. You will use short rows to create the crown. You will graft in garter stitch to close the hat. This hat is neither knitted from the bottom up nor from the top down, but rather sideways.

Small - For a small head (head circumference of 51 to 56 cm / 20 to 22 inches).
Large - For a large head (head circumference of 51 to 56 cm / 22 to 24 inches).

Knitted in garter stitch with 1 strand of Aran weight yarn, on 5 mm (US 8) needles
18 sts x 40 rows = 10.16 cm (4 inches) after blocking.

Le “Bonnet Tegel” emprunte son nom à la simplicité du mot suédois “tegel”, qui signifie “brique”. Cet accessoire est un hommage aux motifs géométriques forts et aux textures riches, évoquant la solidité et la chaleur d’un foyer nordique.

Ce bonnet est tricoté à plat, en aller-retour utilisant la technique d’Intarsia pour créer les bloc de couleur. Vous utiliserez des rangs raccourcis pour créer la couronne. Vous ferez un remaillage en point mousse pour fermer la tuque. Ce bonnet n’est pas tricoté du bas vers le haut, ni du haut vers le bas, mais plutôt de gauche à droite.
