Teghan
Winter Hat Series: Two
Teghan is my love letter to texture – the entire hat is knit in daisy stitch! This quick project yields a structured, thick fabric perfect for even the coldest of winter days.
Notes:
• This hat is cast on at the brim. Decreases are made toward the top and the final stitches are cinched together with remaining yarn.
• Be sure you understand how to knit daisy stitch before starting (written and video instruction included).
• I am a loose knitter. If you tend to knit tightly, consider using larger needles.
Yarn and Notions:
• Approximately 84 yards/140 grams of super bulky yarn. Suggested yarn: Malabrigo Rasta (90 yards/150 grams), shown in Ravelry Red.
• US Size 15 (10.0 mm) 16” circular needles.
• US Size 15 (10.0 mm) DPNs.
• Fur/faux fur pom pom (optional).
• Stitch marker(s).
• Tapestry needle and scissors.
Gauge: Worked in daisy stitch. Approximately 11 stitches/6 rows = 4”.
Dimensions: Circumference: 18” unstretched at the brim. Height: 9.5”. Width: 8.5” at the body
